Zwischen 1922 und 1940 drehte Gus Meins 142 Filme als Regisseur, die meisten davon sind Kurzfilme. Bei seinen vier letzten Filmen, entstanden in den Jahren 1939 und 1940, fungierte er auch als Produzent. Für zwei Kurzfilme ("Wandering Willies" und "Circus Today", beide 1926 entstanden und mit Billy Bevan in der Hauptrolle) lieferte er das Drehbuch bzw. die Story. Für den Mack-Sennett-Spielfilm "Hypnotized" (1932) war Meins als Zeichner tätig.

Between 1922 and 1940 Gus Meins directed 142 pictures, most of them were shorts. For his last four pictures, produced in 1939 and 1940, he worked also as an executive producer. He wrote the screenplay for two other shorts in 1926: for "Wandering Willies" and "Circus Today", both starring Billy Bevan. Meins worked as a cartoonist for the Mack Sennett feature "Hypnotized" (1932).
